A New Chapter with RME
Masterblasters has been delivering high-quality blasting and protective coating services since 2006, when Tim and Liz Hamblin founded the business right here in Toowoomba. Over the years, they built a strong reputation for reliable turnaround, consistent results, and a team that knows how to work with tough conditions across mining, oil and gas, utilities, agriculture, transport, construction, and manufacturing. Their leadership shaped a culture focused on doing things properly—quality work, clear communication, and keeping projects on track.
Now, Masterblasters is proud to be joining RUSSELL MINERAL EQUIPMENT (RME), a long-time partner and global leader in mill relining technologies. While Tim and Liz have stepped away from the business, all other roles have been retained, and the same experienced team remains in place. With RME’s backing, we’re strengthening our capabilities and continuing to deliver the dependable service and high standards our clients rely on. It’s the same Masterblasters you know—now with even more support behind us.

Our team experience totals more than 80 years in complex and demanding blasting and wet coating work.
Ryan McBurney | Business Manager
Ryan is committed to creating positive client experiences and supporting staff with clear communication and practical guidance.
He values long-term partnerships and takes pride in helping clients achieve reliable, high‑quality project outcomes personalised to their corrosion protection requirements.
He takes a keen interest in the evolving technology in coatings and testing new products as they become available. When he isn’t working he puts a lot of effort into catching fish.
Brooke Goodair | Production Supervisor
With a solid background in lean production and 5S organisation, Brooke oversees day‑to‑day workshop operations, ensuring all projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
With extensive experience in production management, she brings strong problem-solving abilities and a hands‑on leadership style to the team. She lives the values of the business by maintaining a safe, organised, and supportive work environment that keeps jobs on schedule and clients satisfied.
Brooke takes pride in mentoring team members growing talent from within. When not at work she enjoys caring for her animals and competing in equestrian events.
Dylan May | Industrial Spray Painter
Dylan is a skilled Spray Painter with over a decade of experience, he is known for delivering high-quality finishes across a wide range of industrial, automotive and commercial projects holding multiple industry qualifications.
With strong technical ability and a keen eye for detail, he specialises in surface preparation, and latest spray application techniques for a wide variety of industrial corrosion protection.
He takes immense pride in completing every job to exact specifications and ensuring consistent, long-lasting results.
His commitment to workmanship and reliability makes him one of the region’s best painters. Dylan enjoys spending time with his young family and riding the open road on his motorbike.
