Scope

Weighing 18 tonne, this piece of equipment is used for oil well drilling in the Surat Basin.

 

Masterblasters provided technical advice to ensure the correct coating system was applied to protect against corrosion and extend the life span of the Drillquip engineered pump.

 

Inspections and minor repairs occurred during prep, followed by precision abrasive blast and a 3-coat protective painting system using quality industrial primers and paints providing corrosion protection for up to 15 years. Care and attention was taken to throughout the process prevent grit from entering the gearbox.
